About This Release

David Jones is an internationally known vocal pedagogue who teaches the Swedish-Italian School of Voice Training in New York, London, Paris, Geneva, Berlin, and San Francisco. He studied with the famous vocal teacher Alan Lindquest who studied this school of training in Stockholm in 1938 and 1939. Lindquest passed on his knowledge about this school of training that he received from Joseph Hislop, teacher of Jussi Bjoerling, and Ingebjart Isene, teacher of Kirsten Flagstad. David Jones has taught singers in every style from Rock to Pop to Opera. In the Classical genre, Maestro Jones has taught singers who perform in major concert halls and opera houses internationlly including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Philharmonie Hall in Berlin, Avery Fischer and Alice Tully Halls at Lincoln Center in New York, the Metropolitan Opera, the San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, the Berlin Staatsoper, Vienna Staatsoper, Covent Garden Opera House, Nederlandse Operastichting in Amsterdam, the Glyndebourne Opera Festival, Hamburg Opera, Zuruck Opera and La Scala. Today, David Jones teaches the Swedish-Italian School internationlly and travels extensively teaching professional singers and teachers about a vocal technique that is so healthy that it has been known to assist in healing vocal damage.
