Almost 30 years on from it's original release, Terry Gilliam's 1995 sci-fi thriller 12 Monkeys now seems an eerily prescient take on a world ravaged by a pandemic. Following the efforts of time-travelling convict James Cole as he attempts to uncover the truth about the release of a deadly virus, the film was hailed upon release as a "fierce and disturbing" (The New York Times) portrayal of the apocalypse that maintained an "exhilarating momentum" (The Washington Post) throughout it's 129 minutes. No less compelling was a score by Grammy-winning composer Paul Buckmaster which kept tensions high for the film's full running time. Strictly limited to 250 copies, 12 Monkeys: The Bespoke Edition pairs the film and album together in a handsomely crafted collectors' box set featuring replica memorabilia, original copies of which are so rare they might as well been destroyed in a plague. Included in this box set: 12 Monkeys DVD, 12 Monkeys CD Soundtrack, numbered certificate, an original film cell, A4 press kit, A4 film programme, A3 poster, 8 x US lobby cards, 10 x A4 French lobby cards, 4x A4 black-and-white press photos, and 4x color press photos. The DVD also contains a feature length documentary "The Hamster Factor and other tales of 12 Monkeys".
